They are looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their dynamic team and to help continue their mission of improving the quality of life for patients. Position is to work in the brand-new Acute Rehab Unit.


Job Type: 8 hour or 10 hour shifts (Days to be discussed)


Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy curriculum
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • Licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Idaho; Candidates may apply prior to graduating or receiving licensure.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Previous Acute Care experience

Responsibilities

  •  Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand patients’ physical, psychological, and social conditions
  •  Evaluate patients’ functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), work tasks, and leisure activities
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, patient goals, and evidence-based practices
  •  Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve patients’ functional abilities and independence
  •  Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, home exercise programs, and strategies for managing their conditions
  •  Regularly assess and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
  • Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory requirements and company policies
  •  Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and social workers, to coordinate patient care
